Twitterrific also supports system-level features like the share sheet. Poll creation still requires official app though, which cannot be avoided, but being able to see that the tweet contains a poll really helps a lot. When the poll button is clicked, it opens the in-app browser so that you can vote in the poll. If a tweet looks like a poll, Twitterrific displays a button below the text of the tweet. The app also looks at the format of the question posed. Twitterrific detects tweets that include polls by looking for clues like whether ‘#poll’ or the graph or ballot box emoji are used. The feature isn’t perfect, but it works quite well. But, Lack of API support hasn’t stopped The Iconfactory from implementing a workaround to make polls available to its users. Poll support is appreciable, because third-party developers don’t have access to Twitter’s polling APIs. Muffles in TwitterrificĪnother great feature is Poll Detection in Twitterrific. Muffles you create on iOS are synced to macOS. Muffles can be temporarily disabled by deactivating them. You can also muffle users, retweets by a person(coming in the next update), tweets from that quote any other tweet(coming in the next update), twitter clients and so much more. Muffling does not remove filtered tweets from your timeline entirely, but instead minimizes them. For example, you can add a rule to muffle, to hide tweets that have length greater than 140 characters. ![]() The best way to think of them are like lighter versions of muting. Muffles are a powerful way to hide certain users, links, hashtags, retweets, quotes or keywords from your timeline. Center stage icon Center stage Gestures and UIĪnother feature that sets Twitterrific apart from its competition is “Muffles”. To quickly exit Center Stage just tap the body of the tweet text at bottom or tap the Close (X) button at top. Center Stage is a great way to keep tabs on image-centric searches you may have saved or just ignore tweets that don’t include dynamic media. Swiping left or right while in Center Stage allows you to quickly browse the selected timeline from one media entry to the next, skipping all tweets that don’t contain an image or GIF. Once in Center Stage mode, the accompanying tweet is displayed at the bottom of the screen. When in the media viewer, the Center Stage icon appears in the lower right of the screen. To access Center Stage simply tap the Center Stage icon either at the top of the timeline just below Compose or when viewing any image or GIF from the media viewer. Center Stage is a dynamic and fun way to browse tweets that contain only media in your timeline. In Settings, you can set Twitterrific to sync via iCloud or Tweet Marker and ‘Show and Scroll to Marker,’ ‘Show Marker,’ or ‘Scroll to Marker.’ If you use Twitterrific on the Mac, You start from the same position you left Twitterrific on iPhone.Ĭenter stage is one of many exclusive and great feature of Twitterrific. Twitterrific also offers timeline syncing, if you are using Twitterrific on iOS and macOS, timeline syncing becomes very important. You can also select between 7 alternate icons. Tweets are color coded to distinguish tweets and mentions. There is automatic night mode option as well. We can select between 3 themes, light, dark and black. We can tweak the typography, text size, the way avatar looks, the way media is viewed. One of the great things about Twitterrific is its interface, it has a clean interface and is highly customisable. ![]() But, it doesn’t end here, Twitterrific offers so much more than this. You can tweet photos and videos(video support coming in the next update). Twitterrific offers all the basic features,You can tweet, reply, send direct messages, mark tweets as favorites, search, and view lists. Twitterrific offers chronological timeline and is free from the clutter of promoted tweets. Reason why I don’t like the official twitter app is because of promoted tweets, and lack of chronological timeline. It is one of the most original apps in the Appstore. Not only it survived, but thrived, all these years. 10 Years ago, Appstore launched with 500 third party apps, one of them was Twitterrific.
